I know Sarah. Thank you for sharing her story. May all those suffering from depression have the resources they need to heal.

Thank you Erica, and to Sarah, for a story so heartbreaking and baffling, and full of hope.

Sarah’s journey is not too dissimilar from my own; Serious depression and anxiety, seemingly with no cause, then there is a space safe enough to finally acknowledge child sexual abuse, and healing can begin.

Listening to this story I thought about how it intertwines with Inside DCF, and Judge Cashman, and An American Life, and wondered if trauma and recovery are Preoccupations or Themes of yours, Erica, or mine as the listener, and if you know of Judith Herman’s book, ‘Trauma and Recovery’?

Thanks again for an amazing podcast.
